Please note that from Tuesday, 4 March until the end of 2025, the third and fourth floors of the Galleria Nazionale di Palazzo Spinola will be closed to the public while technical system upgrades are carried out.

Visitors can explore the two historic floors, which feature frescoed rooms, paintings from the Spinola art collection, and antique furnishings. They can also visit the historic kitchens.

Tickets

The Genoa National Museum ticket also includes admission to the exhibition “San Giorgio. Il viaggio di un santo cavaliere dall’Oriente a Genova” (‘St. George: The Journey of a Holy Knight from the East to Genoa’ – Palazzo Reale, Teatro del Falcone, 31 October 2025 – 1 March 2026).

The single ticket for Genoa’s National Museums (Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Spinola) can be purchased from the ticket offices of either museum or online at no extra cost.

It is valid for one year from the date of issue and can be used to access both sites, even on different days.

The museum ticket offices are open until 30 minutes before closing time.

Groups

We recommend that groups (maximum 25 people, including accompanying persons and guides) book their visit by writing to palazzospinola@cultura.gov.it to avoid waiting and overlapping with other groups or events.

We do not accept group bookings during free admission openings. On such days, guides are recommended to make short visits so as not to hinder the flow of visitors.

Information

For conservation and heritage protection reasons, food and drink are not permitted inside the museum.

Only dogs and other small pets are permitted inside the museum, provided they remain in a designated carrier throughout the visit. For heritage protection and conservation reasons, as well as for public safety, dogs and any other medium-sized or large pets are not permitted, even if they are on a lead and/or wearing a muzzle. Guide dogs for visually impaired people are exempt from this rule.

You are permitted to take photographs of the rooms and works for personal use. For conservation reasons, the use of flash photography is prohibited. Authorisation must be requested for professional photography or the use of images of the museum.

The Marquis’ Apartment is currently closed to visitors. We will announce the next opening dates on this website.

From Tuesday 4 March until the end of 2025, technical maintenance work will be carried out on the third and fourth floors of the National Gallery of Liguria, which will be closed to the public during this time.
